Meet Elijah Nget. You may know him as Elijah the Legend (Lij the Ledge for short). He is born and raised in Long Beach, California. Elijah is the unofficial Chief Hydration Officer here at Costa Mesa. Elijah has two bikes. His Specialized Allez Sprint is by far, his favorite. (Pictured here). He loves his Cyclocross bike, but it doesn’t get the miles on it that it should. Elijah is just getting back on the bike after having to take a year off from back surgery; after having recovered from surgery last year and Leukemia when he was much younger, Elijah is as tough as nails. When Elijah isn’t riding, he is gaming, playing volleyball, spending time with his family, drinking coffee, and finding the most epic lunch spots. Elijah has a degree in BioChemistry. If he wasn’t working here with us in Costa Mesa, Elijah may be in a lab, using beakers and a microscope. This explains Elijah’s very scientific approach to riding: he always needs the perfect formula.
Jakob has been involved in the cycling community here in SoCal for the last few years - uou might find Jakob riding up mountains with pros, an occasional Tracklocross race, a fixie crit from time to time, and leading a quick & rowdy Thursday Night Dirt ride in Fullerton.
When Jakob isn’t riding, you can find him drinking potentially unsafe amounts of coffee at @salacoffeeandwine.co or @stereoscopecoffee. He always has his camera and never misses a hardcore show.
Jakob has 4 bikes. His favorite being his S-Works Tarmac (pictured here), his Specialized Epic & his Indy Fab tie for a close second.
If you haven’t had the chance to get to know Jakob, come by and say hello.
Meet Ivan Mendez. Born and raised in Santa Ana, California.
Ivan is both a full-time Cycling Specialist here in Costa Mesa, and a full-time engineering student.
You might see Ivan putting in 100-mile rides down the coast on his S-Works Tarmac, his all-time favorite bike by far; however, Ivan is thinking the Specialized Epic will be his next bike. The trails are calling him!
When Ivan is not riding you can find him with his girlfriend & family or in the library studying for his next physics exam; like most students, he’s always studying. Ivan is also a photographer, a rower, soccer player, and a pretty stellar chess player.
Some of his favorite artists to listen to on rides are Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Vivaldi, and Shostakovich.
